'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus -- spending big on hair

Miley Cyrus has quickly learned a few things over the course of the past few months -- not only does controversy lead to headlines, but so does massive changes to your image. For the best evidence of that, all you have to do is hear this new story courtesy of In Touch Weekly.

Apparently, the "Hannah Montana" star's 'do is of such high value that she reportedly paid $24,000 to have it specially flown in to New York City from Italy. She then had it styled to match her locks perfectly:

"Miley bought the best hair possible, and then had it dyed to match hers exactly. Her hair is an investment."

Miley has been seen with longer locks recently in a number of performances, specifically her controversial bit at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto (where she also served as a co-host).
