Miley Cyrus 'stalker' needs help, says his lawyer

The lawyer for the Georgia man accused of stalking Miley Cyrus said he is struggling with grief and needs help. Mark McLeod, 53, is in custody and awaiting a hearing date after appearing before a judge at the Tybee Island Municipal Court. James Byrne, his court-appointed lawyer, said McLeod's mother and brother had both died in the last 18 months and that he had lost his job and was unable to find work as a plumber.

He said: "People need to understand that he's a human being. If there's something wrong, we need to address it. He's one of our fellow citizens who might need some help." Police on Tybee Island, east of Savannah, arrested McLeod twice on misdemeanour charges on June 22 and August 4. The Hannah Montana star was filming in the area.
