Miley Cyrus is somewhere between her squeaky-clean Disney Channel roots and her sexy new pop star act. To prove that shes growing up, Cyruss final season of Hannah Montana entitled Hannah Montana Forever will premier tonight at 7 p.m. on the Disney Channel. After this season, Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart will be no longer, but Cyrus says her fans need some closure.
Off camera, Cyrus is maturing full-steamy-ahead. Her new album is titled Cant Be Tamed, and she sings anti-Disney lyrics like, Stop telling me Im part of a big machine / Im breaking free, cant you see.
Cyrus, 17, says she knows who she is. Ive never really said that that was who I am, someone thats always trying to be perfect... And so I think its been easier for me to grow up, because Ive never, you know, faked it ... Im going to grow up at some point. And Ive always been honest about that ... Im happy to just be me for a little while.
Disney might have to work some of its legendary magic to convince audiences that Cyrus is still the innocent Hannah Montana. She has become a star of tabloids and gossip magazines from mocking Asians, giving her 'Last Song' producer a lapdance, [to] quitting Twitter. Jason Earles, who plays her brother, Jackson, jokes that he told Cyrus, Dont get pregnant.
