Hannah Montana' Star Comes Under Fire Again No one knows how to rake in the dough like the Disney Channel and its wildly popular show, Hannah Montana. Last year, star Miley Cyrus headed out on tour, performing as herself and her alter ego. Tickets went fast and many parents and children were left out in the cold. Naturally, Disney had a solution: create a 3-D film version so fans everywhere could be part of the concert experience. The film was originally released for a limited engagement and, of course, tickets sold out. Disney extended the release, therefore filling more seats and bringing in more cash. It seems that Miley is currently on top of the world but just because she's Disney's pop princess doesn't mean that she's immune to controversy and criticism. The movie, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, features lots of backstage and behind the scenes footage of Cyrus. In one particular scene, Miley and her father, Billy Ray, are on their way to rehearsal for her concert. As they drive to the rehearsal venue in his Range Rover, it is quite apparent that neither is wearing a seat belt, a move that had Consumer Reports magazine very concerned. |
